Cat progress!
I've finished taping it up! Now I have to decide which furs to use and what sort of markings to give! That's the hard part, I'm kind of indecisive! I'm sure I'll think of something though. In the mean time, here's some pictures:

So Today I started a cat fursuit head! I'm going off of this ref http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7751250/ and of course lots of photos of cats. I don't own a cat, so hopefully I got the shapes right! I'm trying at least!
It starts out as a hollow base. Then I added mouth, nose and cheeks. I want to try something new with the nose and cover it in fabric, with some needlesculpted nostrils or something, I hope it turns out how I imagine it to be in my head!
Then I added the eyeridges, but my head model went to sleep (lol), so you get photos of it on a backdrop, It looks sort of squished, but I didn't change the muzzle much, however I did trim up the ears a little more.
I hope I'm on the right track! :D Cat practice!

What a terrible stupid day.
Some idiot brought a three week old puppy to the dog park today. It got killed.
A three week old puppy is still a tiny grub of a dog that needed to not be seperated from its mother, its barely old enough to even start to eat solid food. Just.... who in their right mind thinks thats a good idea at all. To take a 3 WEEK old puppy away from its mother, to a dog park... With adult dogs.

Feeling a little lonely on the Internet lately. Not sure if other people have just left for other services and I'm still behind in the lesser used ones, or if there's just not much chatting going on anymore nowadays.
I ended up sticking with LiveJournal and Twitter, with Furaffinity postings now and then. I kind of wish there was a place like FluffMuck still active with lots of folks. Maybe not a muck, but for those familiar just that "place where folks go to hang out" type of place. I can never find these things on my own, though. Does anyone have any leads for general chatty furry places?
Its funny there's all these websites to comment and connect, and make journals and talk about yourself and what you're doing. But no more focus on just chatting anymore.
Maybe I just need to reach out more often or explore more sites on my own. It still helps to think about it in a public forum like this though, in case anyone has any ideas! ;3

Jill and I did a collab and were going to use these great fursuit haunches, but we went a different direction. Our loss is your gain! We're still looking to let this awesome pair go for $50 + shipping. We're just selling them for cost of materials.
Their excellent shape was intended for haunches, these would be great for your project that needs big thighs like a Kangaroo, Rabbit, or just if you need some cute toony padded legs!
They are each 28 inches long. Measured across is about 20 inches wide.
The seams are reinforced with fabric. One leg piece is carved out on the inside a little more than the other, we didnt do the other like that just in case you plan to use this nice thick foam for another type of project instead, it'll leave more for you to work with! It is 4 inches at the thickest, and 1 inch approx at the thinnest, it is shaped nicely and should work well under your bodysuit fur.
Paypal only, no payments, no holds, first come first serve! Our estimate is $10-$15 for shipping within the US. They are packed up and ready to go as soon as payment is recieved!

I am feeling the sad resignation that LiveJournal is losing its last piece of ground. I like it here, I don't want people to get frustrated and leave, but I'm finding myself checking other sites, and not getting all the information and cool project photos and ideas that I loved gleaning from everyone's individual LiveJournal posts...

No clue how to actually link to an individual post yet. But I made an entry about my thoughts on LiveJournal Google+ and my dislike of facebook.
Its strange that I've gone through my teenage years without using MySpace or Facebook, I relied on LiveJournal for my social needs, and its crazy that its lasted and have been useful to me for so very long. I hope this is just a phase and that things will recover. Its one of the only social sites I have been willing to actually put money into! It has useful features! Customization! An intimacy that the newer sites just don't seem to have as much of....
I use Twitter, but that seems different from putting actual thoughts down in a lengthy format. Its more like quick news, share something cute, and what someone's doing at the moment kind of stuff. Not as much of the "I need advice", or "here is this cool project I am going to share a tutorial on" posts which I love so much on LiveJournal.
I have a Tumblr, but don't really take advantage of it much... but I am wondering what other social sites folks use. As a caviat. I am not planning on using Facebook, its too full of people with no shared interest, it seems to just attract that kind of thing.But other stuff like Forums? Art sites? Other social sites? Let me know. I'm looking to expand my horizons just to try them out for a while and see what's out there.

I found a pattern I had photocopied yeeears ago in my pattern box when rearranging some stuff in my craft room, and had to make this! Its a feral Matrices!
A quick project (took me 2 evenings), the first night I cut the pattern sewed the body, tail and ears. The next day I stuffed her and picked all the seams, then sewed on the paw pads, made the eyes, and needle-sculpted the toes and mouth toes and mouth using embroidery thread, then trimmed her in a few places.
The eyes are hand-painted & cut plastic with bias tape used for the eyelids, the nose is sculpted, and the paw pads were pre-made.
I'm used to working much bigger! So working on a small plush was a bit of a challenge for me. She's about 9 inches tall. I forgot to take a view of it, but her forehead of course has her little white blaze, too. :3
